Organic Loose Leaf White Tea
Experience our collection of delicious, organic loose leaf white teas.
White tea comes from the same tea plant as green and black teas do. However, unlike green and black tea, white tea is harvested at a much younger stage in the leaf’s development. In fact, the leaves and buds at this stage are covered in fine white hairs, giving the tea its name. The leaves are then minimally processed. This gives white tea a higher concentration of catechins than other teas. Catechins are a type of disease-fighting flavonoid and antioxidant and are some of the most beneficial components in many teas. In fact, white tea contains some of the highest anti-oxidant levels among all tea varieties. The immature white tea leaves also contain much lower levels of caffeine than their black or green counterparts, typically between 30-55mg per 8 oz cup. Many people enjoy white tea due to its light, delicate flavor. Our white tea is USDA certified organic.
